I’ve been in a little bit of a funk lately when it comes to my writing. I have been writing plenty, but I’m putting off editing. I have so much editing to do, it’s ridiculous. The blog has become one of my favorite things, when I have something to write about.

So I was pretty shocked when I checked my email this afternoon to find an email from WordPress telling me my last post had been selected for Freshly Pressed. I thought it was spam. After all, why would they pick me?

I’m assuming it’s legit, but I’m starting to panic a little. There’s going to be people reading this stuff. I mean, you guys who already read it are people, but you know what I mean…I mean, does WordPress know a few posts ago I wrote about Dean Martin’s ode to masturbating to underage girls?

Now I have all these thoughts in my head – do I need to do anything to the blog? Spruce it up, so to speak? I feel like when you get short notice that you’re having company on a Tuesday night, and there are dirty dishes in the sink and unfolded laundry laying around. I am not really sure what to expect. I guess we’ll see what happens…
